Other Machines

I admit that I’m beaten here. It’s a superb machine with a figural casting and in great condition, but it comes without a name.
I like to think it’s from either the Thomas or the Taylor companies, as both would have likely produced a chain-stitch machine in the early 1870s.
The bifurcated top arm and needle-bar guide is all very Taylorish and, yet, the crude screw-it-down-to-the-table-top lugs on the base are very reminiscent of some Thomas machines.
Any comments would be more than welcome I really would like to pin this one down.
As you can see, it’s in great condition, and all original and complete.
Check out the pictures of the Taylor on this page and you will see what I mean. And compare with the Thomas machine here: https://tinyurl.com/y885ns6z
Just to confuse everyone.
