Here’s a superb German-made Moldacot with a super-low serial number, just 3732.
It has the holes in the back for a hand-crank addition but clearly this was never fitted to this machine as it came in the great-condition red tin box that you see here which does not have the cutaway on the divider for a handle and carries the instructions for a “pusher” machine in the lid.
We have the bobbin and shuttle, of course, plus the bobbin-winder crank, the needle-setting gauge, bobbin tweezers and even three needles. Don’t expect any great sewing performance from these. When they were made, they were castigated in the sewing machine Trade Press and it was later revealed that the entire set-up of the Company, the production and the shares sold amounted to little more than a scam.
