There’s some dispute over the manufacturer of this superb German toy machine.
Some authorities suggest that it was built by the Keller Company whilst others call it an Eckardt. The latter, probably simply because it was sold by a fabric wholesaler J C Eckardt in Stuttgart in the late 1880s.
Whoever made it, they certainly don’t come any more beautiful than this.
The original tin box is a little beaten up, but it’s done its job in preserving the machine in such an amazing condition.
